The Many Faces of (Weight Loss) Evil

Despite what we’ve been told by many sources, including our own government, I do not think that dietary fats are anywhere near as bad as many of us believe they are.  Sugar, in all of it’s many disguises, is much, much worse.

Thanks to Diet Blog, here’s a list of some of the different types of sugars that you should be aware of. Be sure to look for these on food labels. The closer it is to the beginning of the list of ingredients, the quicker you should be to put it back on the shelf.

If it ain’t packaged naturally in fruit, I don’t eat it.

I think it’s important to moderate sugar intake of all types. That said, I don’t think that there’s a huge difference in consuming, say, high fructose corn syrup, and consuming regular table sugar. If you keep your sugar levels down, watch what you eat in general, and lead an active lifestyle, having some HFCS every once in a while won’t hurt you…

Hi, Stella. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I appreciate it.

Though I bend over backwards to avoid HFCS, I do agree that anything in moderation won’t kill us.

    🙂
