10 Weekly Steps to Begin Losing Weight: Week 9

For the last 8 Sundays, I have been posting weekly tips designed to give someone just getting started some small, easy steps to take that will help them lose weight. This is the Tip for Week 9.

This week, I want you to start listening to what your body is saying to you.  And there’s only one rule this week – no rules.  Just try to eat healthy.

Over the last several weeks, we’ve taken you through a series of small, yet powerful steps. We’ve started the body moving, loosening it up preparing it for more intense exercise.  We’ve made small changes in the way we eat, cutting out crap and replacing it with less processed and more whole foods.  You’ve learned some basic principles of weight loss nutrition.  So using what you’ve learned, just try to eat healthy.

Learning to trust yourself and your ability to make good healthy choices is an essential step in your transformation to fit and thin.  So that’s what I want you to do this week.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PERFECT…you only need to try.

Also, listen to what your body is telling you.  This is important!  If you’ve followed the other tips, you’re going to notice something really neat.  Your body is going to start telling you things like “Hey…can we have a piece of fruit?” and “I’m feeling restless…can we take a walk?”  🙂

Don’t be surprised when you find that your body is craving something healthy.  Remember that it’s telling you what it wants/needs, NOT that it’s craving something that you used to eat.  So be sure to give it what it wants…don’t let old habits came back in.

Be sure to do this for 6 days, and on the 7th day, give yourself permission to have a cheat day.

I look forward to hearing how this goes for you.  As always, be sure to leave comments and let me know.
